Java Architect

Java Architect needed for Top Tier Investment Banking Firm located in NYC, NY.

Position Responsibilities
- Work with an onshore and offshore team in a global team environment comprising of product developers and support resources
•Interact with business and application team stakeholders as needed to understand problems and propose solutions
• Act as a technology expert on the team and participating in architecture, design, development, and deployment activities for various projects
•Evaluate, recommend, and implement product enhancements and new product concepts based on market/industry demand
-Stay abreast of industry trends and make adaptations to products as necessary to maintain competitive advantage.
- Respond to and resolve issues beyond standard management requests and participate in supporting the Core Services Platform

Key Skills
•4-7 years of architecture, design, implementation, and support experience is a must
•Proven multi-tasking ability while maintaining focus under extreme pressure situations with the ability to make decisions with limited information
•Ability to work independently as well as a team of developers
•Aptitude to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
•Possess strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
•Excellent communication/presentation skills is a must
- Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
